Eat in a garden in the sky

Food with a view

Where: 14 Hills

The capital's latest skyscraping restaurant is 14 Hills, part of the D&D restaurant group that also operates Bluebird and Quaglino's. It's located on the 14th floor of the 120 Fenchurch Street office building, one storey below the roof garden that's open to the public. The restaurant takes its inspiration from this garden, as the 855 square metre space is completely filled with climbing plants, trees and foliage hanging from the ceiling, making it more lush forest than neatly maintained garden.

Food is on the pricey side, with beautifully presented dishes including crab with cauliflower cream and caviar, and beef fillet rossini with mushroom duxelle, seared duck liver and truffle.
