Forty years ago an earthquake happened in Manhattan, one who’s shockwaves would touch a million lives, forge untold friendships, and still be felt throughout the world’s nightclubs today.

That earthquake? Disco….

This year, on 31st December 2013, DISCO will take you back to where it all began, as they celebrate NYE’73 – the point at which disco moved from the undercover and underground into a fully formed grooving diva, ready to take over the world.

As ever DISCO’s resident DJs, Hugo Currie and Joey Nelson, will astound with their vinyl only entertainment, including a dedicated 1973 set to be played before midnight, that will be sure to whip their in-house disco freaks into a frenzy of anticipation for 1974, the year disco went BIG.

The musical journey will then continue throughout the night, stopping off at highpoints throughout the 70s, winking suggestively at 80s euro disco and then fully embracing the beauty of nu-disco and disco house, giving a little nod to Daft Punk of course!

Guests can also expect disco dancers, choreographed dance routines, a countdown like no other, and, the best range of disco drinks in town. There will even be a Moet NV Brut and Belvedere Pure reception that we’re sure will be bubbles and bottles galore.

So step aboard pan-am flight1973 back to the birth of disco
