A fully-staged performance of Haydn’s The Creation, the brainchild of Suzi Digby OBE and designed and directed by Patrick Kinmonth, starring soprano Mary Bevan, tenor Matthew Long, bass David Stout, Charlotte Beament (Eve: Part 3) and Jonathan McGovern (Adam: Part 3).
The Vocal Futures Orchestra is the most dynamic new orchestra in London and the chorus features Vocal Futures Consort and London Youth Choir.

Vocal Futures, founded in 2011, has launched The Creation Project, its latest ground-breaking initiative to identify, involve and inspire young people to engage with classical music.

The Creation Project, involving three hundred 16-22-year-olds from ten 'pods' across the UK, will follow Vocal Futures’ three-phase programme – Induction, Concert, and Follow-Up – to inspire the classical music followers of the future. The focal point for this project, will be attendance at a world-class, staged performance of Haydn’s The Creation in Ambika P3, a disused concrete factory under London’s Marylebone Road, on 11, 12 and 13 December 2013, directed by Patrick Kinmonth.

Suzi Digby (Lady Eatwell) OBE, Founder and Artistic Director of Vocal Futures said: ‘ Vocal Futures is focusing upon where the future begins: with the young performers and audience growing up now. The charity is trying to reverse the disconnection allowed to take hold in a whole generation of listeners, to force the agenda so far back towards the proper acknowledgement of the value of classical music, that government, broadcasters and cultural arbiters of all kinds, will have no choice but to engage with it.
‘Every performance has within it the chance to remake the most astonishing music ever written anew in that moment. We cannot deny our children, ourselves and our future this opportunity.’
