The Secret Showcase Presents... NYE with The Kansas Smitty House Band

After a successful come back this year, hosting shows for some illustrious acts we are delighted to announce that the Kansas Smitty House Band will be providing us with some tremendous live sets for our New Years Eve Party

The only party to be at this new years eve will be at Ribeira in Haggeston, off Regents Canal. Expect to be transported back in time by the live music bought to you by the Kansas Smitty house band. Before the clock strikes 12. DJ Samantha Pink Panther will be heightening the party vibes by spinning the very best old time Soul, Swing, Jump ‘n’ Jive and Rhythm & Blues dancing tunes on 45s.

Inspired by the swinging, hedonistic atmosphere of the one American city that overcame the Great Depression. The Kansas Smitty’s House Band are the fresh answer to London’s booming ‘speakeasy jazz’ scene. The Smitty’s House Band features an ever shifting line up of London’s best musicians put together by band leader on alto sax and clarinet Giacomo Smith. Hot off the back of sold out shows at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex, Peckham Liberal Club & The Servants Jazz Quarters and unfettered by pretensions of academic authenticity, it is not just another vintage dress up party. They’re putting danger back in jazz.

You can also expect to sample the most delicious (and certainly one day) award winning Kansas Smitty Mint Juleps where they will be served at the bar all night, just bourbon, mint, crushed ice and a special bitters of their own creation.
