Stressed-out Londoners are invited to take the first step to improving their body and mind with the 30 Challenge, run by Julian Hitch Martial Arts School of Excellence.

Taking place at five centres across London (Bromley, Dulwich, Shoreditch, Victoria and Watford), the 30 Challenge will see martial arts novices challenging themselves to train 30 hours in 30 days between the 10th May until the 8th June 2014, with an amazing prize worth £1,000 for the person who completes the most training.

An opportunity to interact with like-minded, motivated individuals from across the capital, the 30 Challenge will help kick-start the journey towards a healthy body, mind and spirit as participants enjoy world-class tuition in Wing Tsun Kung Fu, an ancient art that dates back 1,500 years and a range of other classes aimed at supporting the health of both body and soul.

For example, nutritional classes will be delivered by Julian Hitch MASEs’ resident nutritionist Toni Dicks, who works with VIPS and high-net-worth individuals internationally. The talks will focus on how to improve digestion, increase energy levels, have healthier hair and skin and discuss how nutrition can be used to prevent disease. These sessions will include live and dried blood analysis, where ‘fresh’ and dried blood are viewed under microscope in order to assess the healthiness of the blood.

And for those who are just as interested in having a healthy brain as a healthy body, there will also be a number of philosophy talks, led by Julian Hitch himself. Focusing on ancient Chinese teachings – in essence an amalgamation of Buddhist, Daoist and Confucian thinking – that have been passed down from Wing Tsun teacher to student for centuries – the classes will help participants develop a sense of inner poise and learn how to live life without fear.

Participants who meet the 30-hours target will come away with increased energy and fitness levels, stamina and an enhanced sense of inner calm.

Pricing:
Taking part in the 30 Challenge costs just £130 for 30 days. Included in this cost is:
- Unlimited number of classes - up to 40 hours per week. If participants were to complete a training class each day, this would equate to just £4.30 per session.
- Range of mind, body and spirit classes - from physical skills and fitness to nutrition, philosophy and meditation.
- Training at any of Si-Fu Julian Hitch’s five schools in Bromley, Dulwich, Shoreditch, Victoria or Watford
- Welcome pack
- Certificate upon completion

The first 50 people to sign up to the challenge will also be given additional free equipment worth £83.50, including a chest guard and specialist clothing. And, if at any point during the first two weeks a participant doesn’t feel that 30 Challenge is for them, their sign-up fee will be returned, in full, with no hassle.

As an initiative that seeks to be good for the soul as well as the waist-line, the 30 Challenge also has a strong charity element and will raise money for forces charity Help for Heroes. Every participant is encouraged to raise at least £30 in sponsorship as part of the challenge, and there will be a £250 voucher for the participant that raises the most money.

Si-Fu Julian Hitch is also offering a prize for the participant who completes the most training; a trip to Montenegro worth over £1,000 plus training from Si-Fu Julian Hitch, the founder of the schools, himself. There are also runners-up prizes of a £250 and £100 vouchers to spend at the school. Vouchers are redeemable against new membership, seminars, uniform and equipment and private lessons.
