About the event

The London Festival of Architecture is Europe’s biggest annual architecture festival, and returns to the capital from 1-30 June 2018 with over 400 events exploring this year's theme ‘identity’. We celebrate London as a global architectural hub, provoke questions about the life of the city, and promote positive change to its public realm.

Highlights of the London Festival of Architecture 2018 include:

  • Sou Fujimoto: Futures of the Future
Sou Fujimoto is a leader among Japan’s new generation of architects. In this evening talk, Fujimoto will discuss his philosophy of designing structures that connect nature with architecture and the possibilities of architecture in the future.

  • Swiss Sensibility Talk and Soirée d’Architectes
An opportunity to meet and hear four Swiss speakers involved in the Swiss Sensibility publication project. Anna Roos, architect, author and curator of the exhibition, Adriano Biondo, architectural photographer, Jean-Paul Jaccaud, architect and architecture teacher as well as a member of the architectural practice :MLZD will be invited to share their experience and views on Swiss architectural identity during a panel discussion.

  • LFA Symposium – Does Identity Matter?
Join us for a day-long symposium exploring the impact of architecture on the identity of a city, and find out more about the influence of social and spatial identities on urban change.
