Take a walk down roots alley with Hubert Murray alongside some of the best Folk, blues and Bluegrass acts in London. Kicking Off Rip Roarin Roots' new year is Sarah Blair of The Fruitful Earth. "Imagine Jimi Hendrix was a woman, played piano, could sing like Kate Bush and had The Band as her backing band..." And of course, Hubert will have The HOTTEST pickers in London join forces to perform high-octane fiddle tunes with high lonesome vocals.
The Fruitful Earth
Fruitful Earth's Sarah Blair is joining forces with Joe Kean - guitarist, vocalist and songwriter with phenomenal band Loose Joints. It's like combining Hendrix-esque guitar with full tilt boogie piano and wild and free heart-felt singing. Premieres of Fruitful's second album has appeared in Q, Clash and other influential online music blogs. Radio play has been phenomenal with tracks off the new album having been played by: Dermott O'Leary (Radio 2), Frank Skinner (Absolute Radio), Gary Crowley (BBC Introducing) and a live session on Simon Lederman's Show (BBC London). Interest in the band, the new album and their live shows is growing. There're going to be some incredible collaborations for the next album and The Ritzy is going to be the first to see them!

"Jaunty piano inviting Elton John and Carole King comparisons." - The Observer
A British singer-songwriter debut of distinction - MOJO
