IN CELEBRATION OF 10 YEARS OF INSPIRATIONAL SCREENINGS AND POST-SCREENING DISCUSSIONS, THE IWT TEAM WILL BE HOSTING A SERIES OF 10 INTIMATE MONTHLY SCREENINGS OF SOME OF THE BEST FILMS OVER THE YEARS IN A COUNTDOWN TO THE 10TH I WILL TELL FESTIVAL IN AUG-SEP 2016!

COME AND CELEBRATE SOLDIERS OF PEACE WITH US. #IWILL10

Soldiers of Peace, narrated by Hollywood actor and United Nations Messenger for Peace Michael Douglas gives us an uplifting look at the current geopolitical state of the world. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually less armed conflicts in the world today and less people dying of violent deaths than ever before.

When this film was first screened almost 8 years ago, the world was changing fast and humankind was being confronted with many challenges. Through numerous and beautiful examples, the film illustrates the many ways in which people and communities are making a positive change, today, featuring Sir Richard Branson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Sir Bob Geldof, Hans Blix and the Dalai Lama, incorporating stories from 19 countries and featuring the 'Soldiers of Peace' in Colombia, Ireland, England, Liberia, Nigeria, USA, and Kenya.

In a world bombarded by negative imagery and messages, the film showcases the alternatives to conflict, revealing countless inspiring examples to prove that peace can be achieved through greater equality, emancipation, tolerance and understanding.

Join us as we celebrate the many unsung heroes who, either individually or in co-operation with others, are striving for peace and stay for the post-screening discussion where we explore whether things have changed.
