Created by the Social Media specialists at Gertrude & Ivy, Social Slam is a new training event, featuring 3 key elements, for online success: Instagram, Influencer Marketing and Content Creation. The trainer and the blogger will share both strategic instructions and practical learnings.
This workshop has been designed with food, drink and hospitality brands in mind - be you a butcher, baker or chocolate bar maker, budding food & beverage entrepreneur, independent street food seller, restaurant marketing team, bar, cafe, or hotel owner, manager or maître d' - you will learn how to win more brand exposure and lift your digital presence.
We are very pleased to welcome special guest, Food & Drink Blogger: Kavita Favelle (Kavey Eats), as co-host of this special workshop, alongside Emma Jane, experienced Social Media trainer and founder of Gertrude & Ivy.
This Social Slam will take place at Venturi’s Table in Wandsworth, on the evening of Monday 27th March. Light snacks and soft drinks will be provided - please let us know if you have any food allergies, when you book your place.

Meet Emma Jane: Emma Jane is a straight-talking, dynamic speaker, who chooses to conduct training sessions in ‘plain-speak’. With her love of language and passion for Social Media marketing, Emma Jane builds vivid scenarios of everyday situations, with which anyone is familiar, to convey how real life social behaviour can be translated into the most successful social campaigns. Drawing on a wealth of campaign and training experience, Emma Jane shares valuable Social Media expertise, to both agency staff and brand teams.

Meet Kavey Eats: Kavita launched food and travel blog Kavey Eats in 2009. Since then she has worked extensively with fellow bloggers, PRs, brands, trade bodies and tourist organisations. She is well-known in the blogger community and has forged strong relationships across the wider food industry. In her day job, Kavita works as a freelance IT Business Analyst + Trainer, specialising in Retail. Strong communications skills, nailing the requirements of each client and ensuring the solution meets or exceeds expectations are key. Kavita looks forward to sharing her social media skills and ideas with you during the workshop.

Meet Venturi’s Table: This custom-built Cookery School, is located just a few steps from Wandsworth Town station and features two, state-of-the-art kitchens.
