Bill is a rich 35-year-old alcoholic with the sex drive of a bull on steroids, in the throes of a cynical divorce from Jenny, his match in wit but not love. Miles is Bill's lawyer, who is switching loyalties due to the trifling matter of Bill shagging Miles's wife.

The acrimonious proceedings, and Bill's outlook on life, are disrupted by Eve, a never-been-kissed babe in the woods. She's engaged to Neville, a librarian in every sense of the word, and her father is a Father (don't they take vows of celibacy?). Everyone's cheating but no one's winning!
