Lipsync artist Ripley brings her politically-charged one woman show Like A Sturgeon to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern May 19th.

The show will combine drag, pop and political parodies as Ripley channels some of today’s leading women including Theresa May and Nicola Sturgeon.

Expect rallying cries for Scottish independence, fembots and lashings of Brexit set to a backdrop of camp classics and cutting edge pop, Ripley’s brand of ironic humour shine through her original recordings and mixes which are looped over each act, all recorded by Ripley herself and containing her own vocal impressions.

Ripley won the 2016 Its a Knockout competition at Halfway to Heaven and was nominated for Best New Cabaret Act in the 2016 Boyz Magazine Awards. Ripley has performed at Two Brewers, Admiral Duncan, KU Bar, The Glory as well as at RVT staples Bar Wotever and Pop Horror.
