Step back in time to Fulham Palace of old, as we celebrate the pastimes of the Victorian era for Museums at Night 2017. With live music from folk legends The Phoenix Collective, tastings from local craft brewery Portobello Brewing Co and period entertainment through our historic spaces.

To mark the 150 year anniversary of the Victorian chapel in May, this edition of Museums at Night at Fulham Palace celebrates the essence of the era, with a wonderful variety of entertainment on offer.

Portobello Brewing Company
As there was, for a long time, a brewery present as part of the Palace estate, local craft brewery Portobello Brewing Co, founded in December 2012 by beer industry veteran Rob Jenkins and head brewer Farooq Khalid, bring a flavour of the past to this fantastic event. They will be offering tastings of their core range of beers – London Pilsner, Westway Pale Ale, Market Porter & Stiff Lip – to guests, and they’re also brewing up something a little special which will be available to buy on draft at the main bar!

The Phoenix Collective
The Phoenix Collective are a folk trio that put a contemporary spin on Irish trad music. The three members were part of the original West End cast of ‘Once’ and play a multitude of instruments as well as lending their voices to three part harmony arrangements of many Irish classics. From ballads to raucous jigs and reels, The Phoenix Collective have something for all tastes and will be bringing a little Victorian flavour to their repertoire exclusively for Fulham Palace.

Elsewhere in our historic interiors you can:
Try your hand at creating a Victorian tile with a craft drop-in offering expertise on decoration techniques and the opportunity to make your own unique tile to take home and keep.

Seek a moment of calm in the twilight chapel with period music played on our original organ.

Make like a Victorian lady or gent and don top to toe period garb in our prop laden photo booth.

Visit the bar for the chance to sample more of Portobello Brewing Co’s chilled creations, including their unique Fulham Palace beer, brewed for one night only!
