We don’t mean to blow our own trumpet, but for May’s East Indie Club, we feel we’ve really outdone ourselves!

Topping the evening’s bill is London based, indie/rock trio, MONGÜSE. MONGÜSE draw their dark sound from a range of influences, including Joy Division, Radiohead and Sigur Rós and their distinctive sound, that’s reminiscent of Editors, has seen them play live all over Europe, supporting big names like Animal Kingdom and Slow Club.

After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at numerous previous shows, Grapefruit are back! Grapefruit are a Kent based trio, who specialise in creating brooding, atmospheric Alt/Indie. Their unique sound has seen them produce a stunning debut EP that has gained them airplay on BBC Introducing.

Red Route Blue are four lads from Leicester, based in London who play catchy indie with pop sensibilities. The bands infectious guitar lines and laid back groove has seen them compared to The 1975.

Twin Arrow are a Bristol-based, four piece indie rock band that fuse melodic guitar lines and multi-textured synths with infectious grooves, resulting in a sound that has seen them feature on local radio and play some of Bristol’s biggest venues.

Joining us from Kent for the show is Faded Shades. These three lads specialise in crafting indie with an edge of Britpop and a hint of Americana. This sound has seen them bag radio airplay a plenty, and slots at local festivals.

Opening the show is Bradley Donaldson, a London based singer-songwriter who is brand new to the scene, but already turning heads with his melancholic Indie.
