The Yard Peckham and DONE London create “Support your Locals” free event to support up and coming UK brands

This Saturday will see the first partnership with CrossFit Gym, The Yard Peckham and UK fashion label, DONE London, who have joined forces to create “Support your Locals”. A free clothing pop-up event to support and champion independent and up and coming UK fashion brands.

The Yard Peckham, is Peckham’s first CrossFit gym which was started by two South East London locals in late 2013. The Yard Peckham is located in the heart of the area and is an active member of the local community; it not only strives to provide a functional and friendly space for a community of people who want to pursue a healthy and happy lifestyle in South East London. The team behind The Yard Peckham regularly partner with local comedy, music, art and fashion festivals to help gain acknowledgement and support from and for the local community.

DONE London is a London based fashion label which started in Lewisham in 2012. Since inception the fashion brand has gained a steady stream of loyal customers and has become famous for their t-shirts which depict one of London’s most known mode of transports – the tube’s – seat cover design. A design that hero’s London’s most iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Big Ben, Tower of London etc. Done London has since been at the forefront of fashion in South East London, working with and printing clothing for local artists and local brands.

“Support your Locals” is a free entry, one day pop-up event being held in The Yard Peckham which will feature up and coming designers from around the UK. “Support Your Locals” remains true to celebrating the underground cultures of design, art and music in the purest form. All brands involved have no corporate ties or agendas. Saturday’s event is all about bringing awareness and supporting these brave and ambitious up and comers in a fun way.

With food and coffee provided by Vegan Jesus and a live radio stream by Balamii throughout the day, do not miss out on the buzz and experience of a Copeland Park event; and for the early birds there is the promise of beers and bits on arrival.
