Design Alliance Event

A complementary design alliance between contemporary furniture designer maker Magnus Finlayson and textile designer Ghislaine Garcin.

Magnus is an Edinburgh based designer who creates beautifully handcrafted original furniture. Using traditional and sometimes experimental techniques, Magnus combines sustainable timbers with contrasting materials to produce furniture which conveys an emotive and sculptural quality.

Ghislaine is a Marseille based textile designer producing a collection of contemporary hand crafted home items. She produces a unique and innovative material using traditional techniques, knitting and felting to enhance the natural properties of the wool. Ghislaine's artistic sensitivity is reflected in the patterns and warm subtle tones.
