Jerusalem Palestinian-inspired restaurant Tabun Kitchen is delighted to announce the launch of a special, late-night “Iftar” menu to break the Ramadan fast. The menu includes “manaeesh” a traditional, very thin Palestinian pizza straight from the Tabun oven, a selection of meat dishes including “Fatet Jaj Chicken”, shredded lemon chicken served with chilli, toasted pine nuts and sautéed garlic and of course homemade hummus and Jerusalem falafel.

Pop in for a lighter bite too, where you’ll be able to break your fast the traditional way with apricot juice, Mejdool dates and the soup of the day brought back especially for Ramadan. For those wanting to ease their way into the evenings festivities salads and smaller mezze are also on the menu.

However you decide to celebrate, be sure to take advantage of the tasty list of desserts that Tabun have added to the menu. The popular Middle Eastern speciality “Knafeh”: a mix of smooth Palestinian akkawi cheese wrapped in Kataifi pastry, soaked in syrup and served warm, is offered, along with a delicious rose scented milk pudding served with crushed pistachios, orange and blossom honey known as “Muhulabieh” are the ideal way to end your meal after a long day of fasting.
