This exciting collaboration between Historic Royal Palaces and cutting-edge theatre company differencEngine, makers of the critically acclaimed Heist, brings past and present together. Set in the near-future, events follow those of the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 when, led by revolutionary Wat Tyler, peaceful protest turned to violent revolt over taxes, austerity and unstable leadership.

In this modern reimagining, participants become key conspirators leading Tyler’s revolt.

Digital storytelling provides real-time updates from a network of underground rebels as the audience grapples with choice and chance, all within the unique setting of the Tower of London. How will the fate of the nation be decided?
