Make Your Own Statement Wall Workshop, Hosted By Award-winning London Interiors Blogger

Award-winning interiors blogger Geraldine Tan, voted one of London’s top five Instagrammers and boasting 226,000 Instagram followers, has teamed up with B&Q to encourage home improvers to bring the bold style of trending statement walls into their homes.

With ‘wall selfies’ confirmed as the latest social media craze, Geraldine Tan will lead a series of creative workshops at B&Q New Malden from 10am – 1pm on Saturday 30th September to help shoppers create their own ‘Statement Wall’ at home.

Geraldine is known for creating cool and original interior styles and will show customers how to translate the colours, geometric shapes and psychedelic patterns seen in the popular artwork cropping up around the streets of the UK into their own living spaces. Techniques being taught in the workshop include how to use frog tape to create crisp lines and patterns and advice on matching contrasting colours for an impactful effect.

Customers will be invited to try the techniques on individual take away canvases, leaving them inspired to transform their designs into beautiful statement walls at home.

Throughout the day a giant statement wall, designed by Geraldine herself, will be brought to life by a team of artists as they live paint a huge canvas that has been installed at the B&Q New Malden store. Customers are encouraged to head down to watch as Geraldine’s beautiful design is transformed into an explosion of colour and even pick up a paint brush themselves!
