Magic! An Inspiration Day

Be wowed by professional magic acts, learn tricks of the trade through practical demonstrations, ask the experts some questions, and finally visit the real-life Diagon Alley to buy everything you need as a trainee witch/wizard at the Davenports Magic Shop pop-up stall!

This day of family-fun will include performances from Scott Penrose, President and Gold Star Member of the Magic Circle; ballet-dancing magician Megan Knowles-Bacon – the first female officer of the Magic Circle; and 2017 Young Magician of the Year, Dean Levy.

Also meet Doctor Bondini – the creator of special effects for shows and companies such as The Play that Goes Wrong, the BBC and Birmingham Rep. As well as learning how to recreate the magic behind the illusions, there might even be an opportunity to experience his famed dove-act!

This is the perfect start to half-term for any kids or adults who want to know more about magic. It will be a chance to meet magicians young and old, to learn how to bring a little magic into your performances, and also an opportunity to explore, be inspired and have fun!
