The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation welcomes Ichiko Aoba, classical guitarist, to perform in St Pancras Church, London. The concert is in aid of the children of Fukushima, who have been suffering from the effects of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disasters.
The Foundation asks you to support Academy Camp, a Japanese charity helping and supporting the children of Fukushima to expand their experience of study by taking them to academic camps. You can support Academy Camp through GlobalGiving, a crowdfunding service for non-profits around the world.
Ichiko Aoba was born in 1990 and grew up in Kyoto. Ichiko started playing classical guitar at the age of 17 and debuted her first album, “Kamisori Otome” (Razor Girl), at the age of 19. Since then, she has released five original albums. In 2015, she had her first tour of Asia, performing in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. As well as performing as a soloist, Ichiko also collaborates with various artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto.
