Absent Kelly Presents – East Indie Club: Eddie Monroe

Our last show of the year at Brick Lane’s 93 Feet East promises to be an absolute corker!

Headlining the show is Eddie Monroe. Eddie is a London based artist whose classic anthemic pop/rock tunes have seen him play some of London’s best loved venues, including Notting Hill Arts Club and Nambucca, and be likened to the likes of rock royalty, Freddie Mercury.

My Good Man William is a London based trio who combine evocative lyrics with catchy melodies, creating feel good, upbeat folk/pop. This fresh and honest take on the genre has seen them gain airplay on numerous local and online radio stations.

Joining us from Brighton is Tigers & Flies. This indie pop trio play fun, upbeat tunes, chock full of catchy riffs, infectious hooks and charming lyrics that has seen them bag radio airplay and a loyal following on their local scene.

Joining us all the way from Italy for the show is Five O Five. The quartet are joining us for two very special shows this weekend and will be bringing with them their brand of garage indie rock, reminiscent of the Arctic Monkeys.

Jon Grayson is a Kent based singer-songwriter whose musical CV is shaping up pretty well already. The artist’s infectious pop has seen him play some legendary venues like Islington’s Garage, feature on BBC Radio Kent and gain five star reviews.

Nathan Newcastle is a singer-songwriter from down under, now based in London, telling tales with a guitar and a harmonica. Expect folky indie from this Aussie troubadour.

Opening the show is Beth Jakob. This singer-songwriter from Brighton will be bringing her brand of acoustic folk/pop to the show that has seen her climb the ranks on her local scene.
