After the astoundingly popular New York & L.A. fairs in November, RAW WINE returns to London to add excitement to the UK wine calendar this spring. Started in 2012 and now celebrated in London, Berlin, New York & L.A, RAW WINE has become the largest low-intervention organic, biodynamic & natural wine community in the world.
With over 4,000 visits to the show last year, RAW WINE London 2018 looks set to be another hit, bringing with it the burgeoning #rawwineweek (7th-14th March 2018) – a week(ish) long celebration of growers & wines from the fair, of which RAW WINE London is the epicentre. With natural wines now being heavily featured on wine lists across the capital, dedicated natural wine bars popping up more frequently and some natural wines even gaining a cult following – it couldn’t be a more exciting time for RAW WINE London.
RAW WINE London 2018 will be, like all the years preceding it, the meeting place of all things, people & places ‘natural wine’ in the capital. For two days only, over 150 specially selected growers will be pouring hand-crafted bottles, talking visitors through their philosophies and what makes them tick. Some are already huge favourites amongst the established natural wine aficionados in the capital, others will be showing for the very first time in the UK. All farm organically or biodynamically, harvest by hand and make wine without excessive use of processing or additives.
Visitors can expect unusual grape varieties, growers who have a genuine love for their craft, delicious food and artisan products that are made with the same ethos of low-intervention, from cider and sake to craft ale. So say goodbye to winter blues and immerse yourself in the beauty of fermentation this spring!
