Eurovision Party at The Water Poet

Prepare to get EUROTRASHED as the campest competition in the history of music returns to The Water Poet for yet another spectacular outing. That’s right, the Eurovision Song Contest is back, and with it, their legendary Eurovision Party!

Hello Sailor! This year the official theme is “All Aboard!” apparently because “Portugal as a country has always connected Europe to the rest of the world through the ocean”. Sure. The Water Poet bloody loves a theme, and this year the pub is being transformed into a massive ocean liner, where you can go below deck to watch the action on the huge cinema screen or get stranded outside on the “Desert Island”, with tropical cocktails from Malibu and screens everywhere (all desert islands should have cocktails and TVs).

The costume competition returns with drinks prizes, bar tabs, and plenty of other swag to be won. Turn up as a sailor, a pirate, a ship’s captain, or your favourite Portuguese explorer, and have your photo taken in the Ticket Office. Prizes will be handed out before Europe’s finest pop sensations share their shanties with the world.

The Galley will be providing provisions by way of fabulous Portuguese food - think Piri Piri chicken wings, salt cod croquettes,or fried calamari with aioli, allowing everyone to get three sheets to the wind without making a Captain’s Mess.
