“In 9 hours and 23 minutes… you’ll be mine.”Ritzy Cinema, Brixton
Come and join us as we venture into the dark unknown that is Jareth’s Labyrinth! We’ll watch Sarah battle her way through twists and turns to reach her little Brother, Toby, so they may escape the grasp of the Goblin King!
Labyrinth has achieved the status of cult nostalgia for a generation of a certain age – the film was a box office flop at the time, struggling to recoup half of its then massive $25m budget. But like all great cult films of the 80s, it has slow-burned its way into popular affection, helped in no small part by Trevor Jones’ score, the surreal touches introduced to the script by Monty Python’s Terry Jones, and of course David Bowie’s Goblin King Jareth. Also featuring an early performance by a very lovely, very young Jennifer Connelly as the baby-rescuing heroine.
Doors open from 6.15pm where you will be able to enjoy a few drinks at the bar with the film starting at 7pm.
