City Cruises hosts a Gin Cocktail Masterclass

City Cruises invites fellow gin lovers to come and enjoy an evening of fun and cocktail creating on the R.S. Hispaniola on 17th May 2018, 18.30 to 21.30, in collaboration with British distillery HMS Spirits Company.

Partnering with The HMS Spirits Company’s Mary Rose Gin, made with the highest quality organic botanicals from across the globe and awarded the Silver Medal in the London Spirits Competition 2018, City Cruises will host a gin masterclass from a history of gin overview to a cocktail making lesson with complimentary nibbles.

The fully interactive three-hour masterclass will start with a Reception Cocktail – a complimentary classic large gin and tonic on arrival – followed by an Introduction of Cocktail Class, where the artisan distiller will narrate the history of gin from its origins to the present day.

The final part – Make Cocktails - will see guests making their own perfect ‘Dirty Martini’, as demonstrated by a specialist mixologist.
‘Something about Mary’ – a beautiful blend of gin, Prosecco enhanced with a drop of elderflower and lemon – will be the second cocktail to be learned during the evening of gin-sophistication. To finish the event, guests will be invited to make their own cocktail by putting into practice all their learnings.

Throughout the evening, participants will enjoy up to six measures of gin, the welcome drink coupled with ‘Double Dutch’ tonic, an award winning premium mixer.

The floating restaurant ship R.S. Hispaniola, moored directly opposite the London Eye and boasting magnificent views of the River Thames, provides the perfect setting to the gin-filled night.
Bar menus and a fully stocked bar will also be available during the masterclass.
