Gosnells Mead - Launch

On 19th May Gosnells HQ will be opening their doors to launch their new look, thoroughly modern mead (an alcoholic drink of fermented honey and water). The brand new sleek and stylish 750ml bottle is the ideal low alcohol (5.5% ABV) lightly sparkling drink to be enjoyed and shared with friends, and what better place to do so than at their brewery in the heart of Peckham.

The tap room will be open from 12pm-10pm on Saturday 19th May selling their orange blossom honey mead to drink-in or take-away. Additionally, there will be Brewery Tours and Courses available, please find details below.

Gosnells Tap Room will also be open throughout summer (from 19th May to 29th September) every Saturday, with tours and brewery courses taking place monthly.

Brewery Course, 11:00 - 13:00: £75

Founder Tom Gosnell will begin with a quick talk about the history of mead and a tutored tasting of Gosnells core range. This will include some samples of their special mead and other kinds of mead for comparison.

You will then be set up with all the equipment you need to brew your own mead! You will be guided through the processes. Such as: selecting the base ingredients, mixing up your “must” and pitching your yeast. You will then be briefed on what to expect from the fermentation process and how to finish your brew at home.

Brewery Tour, 14:00 - 15:00 & 16:00 - 17:00: £10

Founder Tom Gosnell will start with a talk on what mead is and the history of the drink. Following this, he will take you through a guided tasting of a range of meads from Gosnells and beyond. Next they will show you around the brewery, walking you through the process of producing each of their different meads from raw ingredients to finished, bottled product.
