A creative genius whose recognition as a seminal artist of the 20th Century was not awarded until the last years of his life, Tyrus Wong was a Chinese-American artist, designer and ceramicist credited with designing the look and feel of Walt Disney’s Bambi.
To celebrate Tyrus’s enormous impact on animation and media arts, the Screen School invites guests to be part of our living studio, and work with our animation students to create a collaborative moving image piece inspired by his life and work.
Visitors will be able to book into sessions in our pop-up animation studio and create drawings that will become part of a final animation that will be screened during the programme.
Booking details:
60-minute sessions from 4–8 February, 11am-3pm. Up to 4 multiple bookings in each hour.
This event forms part of Reel Lives, a programme of discussions, screenings, performances, interactive activities and more presented by the Screen School at London College of Communication.
