Join us on a journey as we transport you back to a traditional 1950's Jazz Club, where the drinks would flow and the band would provide blissful moments of escapism from the daily grind.
Step into London's original pop-up Jazz Club at Ruby's Bar & Lounge and enjoy special and unique evenings filled with some of the best live jazz from the 50’s and 60’s era and occasional touches of blues and swing throughout. Our fine collective of quartets and quintets consist of some of the UK’s most in demand musicians often found on stage at London’s finest jazz clubs such as the world-famous Ronnie Scotts, Soho's Pizza Express, The 606 Club and The Hideaway.
This week we will enjoy two swingin' live sets from Jazz vocalist Corina Kwami and her fabulous Quartet. Corina curates performances that have the purpose of blending cultures, much like genres, such as jazz and swing, have done for decades.
Your host DJ Jazzie Geoffrie sets the mood and fills all the gaps with his irresistible mix of be-bop an swing, and if you're lucky we may have our mysterious resident artist Jonathan Ellis who comes along to the occasional event to paint each band member while they perform and showcase some of his excellent work.
