Mimosa House presents "Multivocal Flux" with RERQ and Verity Spott - the second session of our Bilingual French-English Reading Salon organised by Theodora Domenech and Sabrina soyer.

RERQ is a Paris-based network of dyke and nonbinary authors whose texts are queer, raw, tender, and explicit. Drawing from an aesthetic of flux that samples pornographic codes, experimental literary protocols, and theatrical presentation, RERQ writes, reads, and performs what is too rarely represented. RERQ explodes sad genres and tired syntax, refuses the typography of recognizable bodies, and intervenes in official literatures. RERQ is a nonstop neon trip that blurs individual experience and invokes a collective voice from which to recount collisions within gender and sexuality.

Verity Spott is a Brighton-based poet whose texts are intensive immersions into characters and landscapes that refuse to conform identity binaries and its authoritarian discourses. Its poetry is prophetic, muscular and goes everywhere the body has been shut up. Among other books, Verity Spott is the author of Trans*manifestos and Click Away Close Door Say, and is part of a free jazz music band called Threads.
