The sounds worlds of Bach, Piccinini and Strozzi are interwoven with improvisations and readings of Shakespeare as we explore chaconnes from the 16th century to the present day.

O/Modernt’s second album, From the Ground Up: The Chaconne, is a sweeping historical journey of the ‘chacona’ from its sexy origins in South America, through its sublimation in the art of Purcell and Bach, to its funky merging with Shakespeare and beat poetry.

Christopher Wren’s majestic interior combined with Henry Moore’s iconic altar provides the 'un/modern' setting for a concert celebration of the album.
