If you’re stuck for something to do this half-term, why not come along and experience a dairy aisle in blackout? Don night vision goggles and discover what’s really on the shelves...
The Dairy in the Dark store will be a fun, interactive event with a serious message. The way that milk is currently packaged and sold, with no protection from indoor light damage, means it would have to be kept in the dark for customers to get the same freshness, nutrients and taste they would expect from their milk.
Milk exposed to indoor lights such as retail lighting or LED lights can lose up to 28% of its protein and vitamin B2 (riboflavin) content after just 20 minutes.
At this event, visitors are encouraged to take the taste test and see for themselves the difference light protection can make to freshness and nutrition. There will also be a free coffee bar - what’s not to love?
Noluma are the only authority in light protection technology. Hear from them about why we aren't getting the nutrients we expect in our milk and what can be done about it.
