Joanna Lumley OBE will host the Annual Kids for Kids Candlelit Christmas Concert this year on Thursday 5th December 2019! The concert celebrates its 19th year, taking place once again in the heart of Belgravia at St. Peter’s, Eaton Square, which is ranked by ‘The Times’ as one of the most beautiful churches in London.

The angelic voices of the choir of Queen’s Gate School, one of the first all girls’ schools in London founded in 1891 will raise the rafters whilst the lights of countless candles usher in the Christmas season. Always a favourite, The Thames Fanfare Brass will perform under the charismatic leadership of Roy Bilham.

Joanna Lumley will be joined by guest readers Barry Cryer OBE, Miriam Margolyes OBE, Timothy West CBE and The Lord Cope of Berkeley PC. All funds raised at the Concert support Kids for Kids, virtually the only organisation helping the forgotten children of Darfur, Sudan.

Past readers for our Christmas Concert have included not only our wonderful Patrons, Julie Etchingham and Eamonn Holmes OBE, but also David Suchet CBE, Diana Quick, Lord Carrington KG, GCMG, CH, MC, PC, DL, Baroness Amos CH, PC, and Richard Wilson OBE.

The Concert begins at 7pm and will be followed by Mulled Wine and Mince Pies (included in your ticket). The perfect way to begin the Christmas Season!

About Kids for Kids:

Kids for Kids has been saving and transforming the lives of the children the world has forgotten, since 2001. Founded by Patricia Parker MBE after her first-hand experience of the inexcusable conditions these children were living in, the charity has now helped for the long term, over 500,000 people in 92 villages throughout Darfur.

From our ‘lend a goat’ scheme through to training midwives and first aid workers, planting sustainable forests and fruit trees, to installing water pumps in villages so they have clean, fresh water at hand, and setting up kindergartens, Kids for Kids is literally transforming lives.
