Chinese New Year at London Designer Outlet

Saturday 25th January will mark start of Chinese New Year with this year being the Year of the Rat, the most respected zodiac sign symbolising prosperity, wealth and determination.

To signal the start of Chinese New Year, London Designer Outlet (LDO), the capital’s leading fashion and lifestyle outlet destination, will be getting into the celebratory spirit by hosting a unique show for guests which will include enchanting performances from roaming lion dancers - believed to bring good luck. Two spectacular performances will take place on Saturday 25th January at 12:30pm and 2:30pm in the heart of London Designer Outlet (LDO), Wembley Park.

The performance will include a traditional Chinese Lion Dance, which will parade through LDO to the beat of Chinese drums. The lion dancer will perform a popular routine, interacting with visitors, by asking someone, as tradition states, to ‘dot the eyes’ of the lion, with a traditional Chinese calligraphy pen, to awaken it. The lion will then awaken and begin a showstopping performance.

In between performances, shoppers will be able to make the most of all that LDO has to offer with standout offers from a premium brand line-up, including Nike, Adidas, Champion, Levi’s, Converse, Moss Boss, Dr. Martins, Dune and New Balance (and more).
