Grand Union Orchestra' s Bengal to Bethnal Green

The UK's pioneering world jazz ensemble Grand Union Orchestra presents a special evening concert at Rich Mix in Shoreditch in their long running programme Bengal to Bethnal Green. Coinciding with a year long celebration in 2020-21 of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence the concert will feature singers Lucy Rahman and Shyamal Chowdhury in songs by Lucy’s well-known activist father, composer Luthfur Rahman and The Mother The River by Tony Haynes and Mohammed Rafiquzzaman, directed by Yousuf Ali Khan (tabla) with the Grand Union Orchestra All-Stars.
