Free, but donations to the Royal Albert Hall warmly welcomed

The planned Brassed Off Live event at the Hall was sadly cancelled to do coronavirus, but we see no reason why the show still can’t go on in some way, and are delighted to include it as part of our Royal Albert Home series.

In these strange times, closing the Hall’s doors is the best way to look after the world, but we are now opening a (virtual) window for you to experience some of the most talented artists around.

We will be streaming some exclusive Brassed Off content ahead of the film being broadcast on Film4. We’ll announce further details in due course.

This 1996 bittersweet comedy drama, written and directed by Mark Herman, stars Pete Postlethwaite as Danny, the devoted leader of the Grimley Colliery Band, who is determined to show that ‘we are not defeated’. Ewan McGregor, Stephen Tompkinson and Tara Fitzgerald are stand-outs in an impressive ensemble cast.
