Dickens' Women

Described as one of the greatest one-woman shows of all time and nominated for an Olivier Award, Dickens’ Women gives audiences the opportunity to witness the extraordinary passion and talent of Miriam Margolyes, as she brings a rich assortment of Charles Dickens’ best loved characters to life.

The compelling British actress pays homage to some of English literature’s most iconic women, including Miss Havisham in Great Expectations and the grotesque Mrs. Gramp from Martin Chuzzlewit. Driven by startling insight, Miriam uses 23 of Dickens’ female creations to explore everything from the raucous humour of his characterisations to the darker, more sinister aspects of his life and work.
