This July, we are delighted to present a truly unique, joyful and life-affirming event. One of the most captivating musical stories of recent years is the rediscovery in the Bolivian jungle of an extraordinary collection of baroque music composed by Bolivian native Indians, and the subsequent founding of a new Bolivian national chamber choir – the sensational Arakaendar Bolivia Choir – to perform this music.

Reviewing the choir’s RCM performance in 2008, Richard Morrison wrote: “These are gossamer light and radiantly clear voices, singing with delicacy, a wonderfully springy sense of rhythm and true joy."

Now following a national tour with the ensemble Florilegium, this one-off concert gives London audiences the chance to hear the choir in their own right, as they present a unique concert of music written for the great Bolivian cathedrals.
