What makes an athlete successful? How does the latest technology help us to become faster and stronger? And where do we draw the line between fair play and downright cheating?
As this year's Olympic and Paralympic Games approach, Beautiful Games answers all of these questions and many more.
Featuring over 70 examples of cutting edge sports equipment and historic memorabilia, including a state-of-the-art Planet X bike, an official 2010 World Cup football, a Cheetah® running blade, trophies, clothing, footwear and photography, Beautiful Games shows just what it takes to get to the top in sport.
As part of the exhibition, visitors young and old can get their own blood pumping with a white knuckle ride in a virtual skeleton bobsleigh, measure their reaction time with a ‘beat the clock’ test, and throw some moves on an electronic dance floor.
