DiscoPhobia is back to the Horse & Groom with its monthly instalment this time around welcoming on its decks undoubtedly individual, talented and one of the first female DJs- Smokin Jo.
Smokin Jo (Area Remote/Space Ibiza)- Smokin Jo is one of the most talented DJ’s to emerge from the British dance music scene. Jo’s undeniably cutting edge sound has carved her a niche in clubland. She has played in pretty much every corner of the globe and in every major nightclub you could care to mention: Womb and Aghea in Tokyo, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Warung in Brazil, Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos, Crobar in New York, Space in Miami & Ibiza, Zouk in Singapore, Fabric in London and Cocoon in Frankfurt are just some of the venues she has played in recent years. She still holds a residency for We Love at Space in Ibiza each summer and is still the only female DJ to have won DJ magazines DJ Of The Year award.

Upstairs -Weird Science returns for its 9th instalment, and is happy to announce its new home, complete with 4am license; The Horse & Groom. As always hosted by label bosses Jordan & Santero, Weird Science welcomes back Coin Operated Boy in advance of his first EP release with them. Joining the crew to complete the line-up will be up & coming talent Lemmy Ashton.
Expect the usual mixture of house from all corners, beats, bass, and visuals from an 80s classic movie; this month, The Karate Kid.
