Vibes returns once again to the big back room space of Cafe 1001, where we will kick start your Saturday with a free warehouse party featuring deep electronic house music in the centre of the Brick Lane underground.

This month's special guest drops in from the hot spots of Dubai and the Middle East, and on July 14th we welcome lynchpin of the Dubai house scene, Marko Smoking Groove.

Residencies are the mark of a DJ, and as the long-term resident of the award-winning Nasimi Beach club in Dubai, Jackin' house specialist Marko AKA one half of Smokingroove has well and truly made his mark. Not only does he soundtrack the hottest party destination in the Middle East, he helped discover and launch the venue in 2009, curating the monthly Full Moon parties which saw record attendances well into their thousands. Nasimi's events have since grown into huge, one-day festivals where Marko has shared deck-time with some of the world's biggest names including Faithless and Armand Van Helden, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Sander Klienenberg, Joris Voorn, Chicane to name a few.

The last few years have seen Marko's stock rise even higher. First, he launched a new musical concept at Hive which saw the sleepy venue rocket in popularity, before he crashed into the DJ Magazine Middle East Top 50 poll at the Number 10 spot, showing how quickly Marko's deep, Chicago influenced house sound had been taken to heart in the region.

He also compiled and mixed the first in a series of Pacha Dubai CDs which are on global sale and has also become the official Pacha Dubai parties resident DJ.

To top it all off, his Nasimi residency has grown to new heights, with the Full Moon party winning the Best Club Night award in Time Out Dubai.
