Braziliality 4th Birthday with Pe De Jurema, Mais Um Gringo, Luiz Valente and Jam Tart

Braziliality’s 4th birthday party extravaganza features the launch of the ‘Calçadão’ gallery of images of Rio de Janeiro followed by music from Pe de Jurema band (Alba’s Bday) and DJs Mais um Gringo (Mais um Discos) and Luiz Valente (Vinyl Land Records). As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll then have the chance to enjoy (or join in) the Jam Tart Open Mic session, featuring the Jam Tart Houseband and some of the best new live acts around.

Pe De Jurema is a band from Brazil based in energetic roots Brazilian music such as forro (baiao & xote), maracatu (baque virado), samba de roda, ciranda, samba-coco and more. Their performance always involves the public who is always invited and motivated to dance creating a proper Brazilian atmosphere.

Braziliality ‘Calçadão’ Gallery
The Braziliality Gallery presents the ‘Calçadão’, a project in homage to the city that will be hosting the next Olympic Games. Braziliality have invited artists, photographers and all Rio lovers to submit black and white images from their favourites spots in Rio, in collaboration with photographers Rio-based Clarissa Piveta and fellow carioca Fernando Barbera, who has lived in London for many years. These images will form a giant mosaic of the typical Ipanema and Copacabana beaches’ promenades in the Braziliality Gallery.

Jam Tart Open Mic
At 10.30pm the hottest Open Mic night in London, Jam Tart will take over the stage and invite all great voices and musicians to join the party.
