On Your Marks, Get Set...Go! - a photo exhibition in Stratford

'On Your Marks, Get Set...Go! - an unofficial, site -specific photography exhibition on the Carpenters Estate in Stratford.

The Carpenters Estate borders the Olympic park and provides a backdrop to the 2012 Olympics. Soon after the London Olympics was announced, Newham Council began rehousing residents from the estate, and Nicola Pritchard has documented the house moves of three life-long residents (all in their 80s and 90s). Today more than two thirds of the estate’s 700+ properties stand empty and photographs from ‘On Your Marks, Get Set… GO’ are hung on the metal clad windows of empty flats and houses.

The exhibition is a five minute walk from Stratford train and Underground station.
