London Handel Festival

There is much to look forward to in the London Handel Festival 2013.

The festival opens with a rare staging of Imeneo and closes with L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato completing the cycle of Handel's settings of Charles Jennens and coinciding with the splendid exhibition at Handel House celebrating his life and work.

The Festival also honours Corelli in the 300th anniversary year of
his death in style, performing the work in which he famously led the orchestra for Handel in Rome at Easter. La Resurrezione will be on Easter Monday at Wigmore Hall.

There will be operas in concert by Telemann and Hasse and a return visit from La Nuova Musica with Il Trionfo del tempo e del disinganno.
