The Alternative Dubstep Orchestra was set up in November 2010 as a 'resident' new experimental collective of The Honeycomb Club, a monthly event at Birmingham's Hare and Hounds.

After debuting in Birmingham in late 2010 and seeing a shifting line-up of all star local musicians, ADO went on to tour in 2011, performing to a mixture of festival audiences and club crowds alike, as well as playing several quieter 'world music' performances showcasing the more mellow, acoustic side of the collective. Highlights of 2011 were the Mostly Jazz Festival, The Green Man Festival, Shambala and The Secret Garden Party.

A core collective has now evolved bringing a signature sound to reworked old classics and originals alike. With 2 drum kits, percussion, brass, strings, turntablism, electric guitar and more, ADO's aim is to offer what's written on the tin - alternative, orchestral dubstep!

2012 will see the release of several tracks which ADO have been working on as part of an analogue adventure they decided to embark on last year. Taking vintage techniques and concentrating on authentic 'live' sounds, analogue to vinyl limited edition copies will be released this summer, along with CDs, MP3s and a brand new video.
