Spitalfields Music Summer Festival 2013

East London’s popular Spitalfields Music Summer Festival returns in June 2013 with two weeks of invigorating music to surprise, delight and intrigue both the die-hard music lover, and those with a thirst to try music for the first time.

Firmly rooted in London E1, events take place in some of East London’s most evocative venues, from little known architectural gems and gritty underground East End locations to the grandeur of Hawksmoor’s masterpiece, Christ Church Spitalfields.

Spitalfields Music Summer Festival likes to do things a little differently. It serves up a rich mix of music – classical, jazz, folk and world music – with events featuring internationally acclaimed ensembles and musicians, special one-off collaborations and new commissions and local, home-grown talent. With over 40 events to choose from, there’s something for everyone (even babies). Tickets start from £5, with many events free.
