Holloway Arts Festival 2013

Holloway Arts Festival 2013 will be bringing you a holiday within Holloway from 1 - 8 June. Our theme for this year is 'Escape to Holloway' where you will be able to experience the atmosphere of the British seaside through a riot of eclectic music, spoken word, film, comic performance, crafts, theatre and outdoor events. The festival encourages you to take a ‘staycation’ in Holloway.

We are proud to announce that Project Adorno, creators of the quirky pop songs about the London Underground, will be our guest curators for this year's festival! They will also be there to entertain you with their latest chansons - who knows what they will come up with next?

Since March we have been launching a number of exciting competitions, including the Singer Songwriter Competition, Holloway Haiku, Urban Shots - a photography competition focusing North Islington - and Mayton Street Festival Bake-Off.

Plans are well underway for Mayton Street Festival, which is on Saturday 1 June, with music from Global Local bands, a pop-up tea party, performances, workshops and a range of stalls.

Big Day Out is on Saturday 8 June with a music stage programmed by the Lovebuzz Project.

Owning the Arts is a one day conference taking place at Platform on Monday 3 June. It is for anyone who is interested in the arts being for everyone.
