Confit is one of the oldest and most delicious styles of French cooking. Duck confit, which is duck legs slow-cooked and stored in its own fat, is a sublimely savoury dish and a French speciality that can be difficult to find in London. But now, Lime&Tonic members have the chance to savour this French delicacy in an exclusive degustation.
Confit Comme Ça, one of the leading specialists of French food tastings in London, is hosting this degustation lunch. You'll sample four different styles of confit duck, which are a combination of classic recipes and Chef Kane Moore's own inventions. Eating only confit duck would be a bit sparse, however, so Kane will also cook up some tasty French side plates, starters and desserts. Your menu for this delicious lunch will include duck rillettes; confit duck; potatoes sarladaises; foraged mushrooms and chocolate tart. The event is BYO, so you can bring along whatever drink you think will go well with your meal.
This unique event, which takes place in The Duke's Head, brings some of the finest French food in London to your plate in a laid-back and social environment. So dig in!
