Starring Rosemary Ashe with Paul Knight at the Piano.

‘Call Me Merman’ is Rosie Ashe’s cabaret tribute to Ethel Merman, legendary American actress and singer considered to be "the undisputed First Lady of the musical comedy stage", and perhaps best known for her rendition of the Broadway standard ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’.

Ashe devised the biographical work after a cancellation of a production of Gypsy in which she was to star. Longing to perform some of the show’s songs, she created this musical monument to the production’s original star, Miss Ethel Merman.

This fabulous show is full of wonderful anecdotes as she takes us through Merman’s stormy life, and features fabulous songs by the likes of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim, and George & Ira Gershwin to name but a few!
