For those looking for a truly special gift this Father’s Day on 16th June, The Capital offers Whisky and Cheese Tasting Sessions in its quintessentially British Capital Bar. Guests can book directly or buy vouchers for this experience that includes 3 taster pairings, and a complimentary whisky based cocktail, priced at £40 per head.

Hosted by Cesar Da Silva, The Capital’s head barman and youngest Keeper of The Quaich, an honour marking his association and extensive knowledge of the Scotch Whisky Industry, this is an ideal gift for all whisky and cheese lovers alike. Cesar will guide guests through tasting pairings of high quality whiskies and fine British and French cheeses. Examples of these pairings include an 18-year-old Talisker with Roquefort or a special release Kilchoman with Tomme de Savoie or Epoisse.

Beyond the whisky pairings, the Capital Bar offers a sophisticated setting for pre or post dinner drinks, and the Whisky list includes classic bottles, as well as 35-50 year old specimens, making the bar a favourite with connoisseurs of the spirit. Other premium spirits, wine, Champagne and cocktails are also available.
