On The Fiddle - New Alternative Folk, Meet & Play Event

This will be an Acoustic night featuring weekly themes, based round British Folk and Roots Music.

The Resident Band will be The JC Carroll Acoustic Trio. JC Carroll has been Songwriter and Guitarist with The Members since 1977 he is also an award winning Film Composer and Folk music Fanatic. His Trio Includes Tony Reeves on Double Bass, Tonys CV encompasses John Mayalls Blues Breakers Colluseum Curved air and English Folk Guitar Pioneer Davy Graham whose last protégé Finger Guitarist Joe Woolley, completes the Trio.

Every week we hope to bring you a Special Guest and one or two open Spots for up and coming performers.

The Fiddlers Elbow in an unspoilt Victorian Traditional English Pub with a Stage a Piano and a Management team that are as passionate about music as you can get. This award winning venue is the prime location to host such a unique and exciting new event.

The Mood will Be relaxed jovial and irreverent and like a folk session or knees up round the Piano. Styles of Music will include, Folk, Punk Folk, Blues, Sea Shanties, Cajun, Irish, Music Hall, Contempory Songs, Americana, Chanson. There will be no depressing singer songwriters singing about failed relationships or wannabe X factor or Voice contestants murdering Aretha Franklin Songs.

We aim to produce afotnighly "Hymn Sheet" to enable audience participation and to record sessions and Make a Live at the Fiddlers Album to be Released in the Autumn.
